Ahh, my triumphant return to the Thursday morning bike ride with the Coral Spring Die Hards. I was PREPARED this morning and I still froze! Here is the lineup of clothing:

Long biking tights
undershirt
arm warmers
jersey
full finger gloves
balaclava

I chose to ride to the meeting place, rather than drive and take bike on rack. Unfortunately, I got going a little late from my house. When I made the turn onto Coral Springs Drive, I saw the blinker tail light of Lauren Fuchs moderately ahead of me. I hammered the pedals and reached Royal Palm Drive to find that apparently Lauren hammered the pedals when she made the turn onto RPD. I could see she was almost at the meeting point and I saw two other tail light flashers and they appeared to be moving away. I got to the corner, and realized I had to hammer it up Coral Ridge Drive to Wiles Road. I reached Wiles road and took a chance heading down Wiles Road West and met up with Lauren, Dave Kroupa, and Peter. We had a pretty good ride the rest of the way, with the exception that I couldn't feel my hands and toes for the next 6 hours. Did "The Hill" twice in preparation for Rickenbacker on Saturday
